wheel/lug stud? 200 1990

One of the "lug studs" has worn down and won't hold a lug nut on. So I'm driving with only 4 nuts on, I need to get 4 new treads, an alignment and balancing anyway. I was just wondering if its something I can replace or is it better to leave it up to my garage.

What is the name for the stud where the lug nut screws on anyway?
