went to a haloween party fri and took old blue(84 242, 202,000)and when we went to leave....got in it started it....ran for minute...died, would not start. went back next day got in it hit the key it started...ran a min and died! so i started process of elimination. 1. pulled a spark plug to see if it was flooding or no fuel, NO FUEL, plugs totally dry. 2. went for fuse near battery, its ok. 3. fuse at drivers door panel, its ok. 4.fuel pump relays, one clicks when you turn key on, the other does nothing. 5. had spare relays(taken form u-pull-it donars)changed them out still nothing. 6. opened gas filler and listened no noise from pre-pump. 7. in trunk, took off plate for gas tank sending unit access, in doing so the BLACK WIRE that goes into pre-pump came loose, but i can push it back down into sleeve and it makes contact.but no sound comes from pump. 8 only think i havent looked at is the ECM!!!! and i dont have spare!!! think i ll make a u-pull-it run......this afternoon. any ideas?
