My power windows work fine, except that sometimes they will not work for a few minutes after starting the car. Once they start working, they will function normally-- the problem never comes back until the next time the car is turned on. Everything else elecetrical works fine during this period of window inactivity.

It is also not uniform-- sometimes the windows work as normal from the start, sometimes they have this 'warm-up' period. However, the difficulty seems to come in batches: 20 times in a row its fine, 20 in a row they don't work, then they're fine again, etc.

I have discovered that if I hold down any window switch WHILE actually turning the ignition and strating the car, the windows will ALWAYS work.

I have checked the connections within the driver door itself, but this applies to all switches in the car.

What's going on here?
