auto trans flush 200 1985

I have just bought a used --157k--240 DL and having read many posts on the board and archives about this flush procedure. I am in a quandry as to whether to do the complete flush or to change just the filter and just the oil thats in the pan. The down side seems to be releasing dirt and crud from inside system into the fluid and causing a preoblem.At this point the trans runs flawlessly. Any comments appreciated.This is my return to Volvos having owned 1 in 1962.
