perplexing miss - b230 ft ' 89 760 700 1989

Have a perplexing, occassional, miss at idle. Give it gas; miss disappears.
At idle, when the miss appears, rpm's drop about 200 and miss is there for 20/30 seconds, disappears, then returns at its whim. shudder and rpm drop are like it dropped a cyliner but pulling plug wires off show's rpm change on all 4.

Checked plugs, wires, connections etc + wiggling connections in engine compartment trying to replicate miss.
All seems in order; what am I missing?
