Hello all, I picked up a 92 245 three weeks ago and last night I had my first no start. I determined it was not getting fuel.
I cleaned the fuel pump fuse...no start
I changed the fuel pump relay with a known good relay...no start
I jumpered fuse #4 to fuse #6...start
This is my first LH 2.4 so this setup is all new to me. In the middle of the firewall just above the engine there is a cable that looks like a small diameter plug wire with a bosch style connector plugged into the wire harness, is this the crank position sensor? If so it's brand new.
So by jumpering the fuel pumps and the car runs, does that mean that the crank position sensor is O.K. and the problem is the ECU? The ECU is the much troubled #561
If the ECU is the problem and my pic-n-pull trips don't turn one up. Are there any good online sources for rebuilt units? How much?
Also I understand I can use #951, but are there any others?
Thanks,
