Dealing with leaks, front and rear 200 1986

Hi all, after recording one of the wettest years on record - and we're not even done yet - the weather went remarkably dry here in DC after Isabel, which is when I picked up my '86 245. The car has had the tailgate replaced since I bought it (old one was rusted along the bottom).

So this week we got the first real rain here in metro DC area. I have two leaks - one is drivers side above fuse box - when I stick my finger up behind the dash at that point it is wet as far up as I can feel. I have seen many posts about the upper hinge on the door being a leak source. Is there anywhere else up there that might be suspect?

Second leak - looks like water around the rubber 'stops' on the underside of the new tailgate - on both sides. I get a little pool of water in the third seat well on the driver's side after a big rain. Doesn't seem to be driving-around related, seems to be from rain only. Any ideas?
