Changing to sythetic ATF question 900

I am considering replacing current ATF with synthetic(Mobil 1 or Amsoil) ATF. Do I need to flush the current fluid out with regular Dexron III, run it couple of 100 miles and then put in sythetic or can I do the flush(via trans cooler) straight with synthetic ?
