The 700/900FAQ has a statement from the editor saying the Scantech strut mounts are of awful quality: go OEM. Are there alternatives to OEM that are decent quality that someone has used? The OEM mounts are about $99 and the Scantechs are $41-$47 depending where you get them. I am rebuilding the front end of a 1991 740 with 209K miles and have all the parts, I think, but want to have a Strut mount kit on hand in case it is needed. Thanks.
