Dragging parking brake 140-160 1973

I believe the parking brake on my 145 is failing to disengage.

There's a dragging sound at low speed unrelated to the regular brake, and the hub portion of the driver's side rotor is too hot to touch. Backing up in the a.m. the wheel squeaks for a few seconds. So I guess I need to dig in.

What's the usual problem and how to solve it?
