What can I expect with a test-only smog check center? 200

Oy.

The registration renewal stuff came in the mail today. For whatever reason, my sedan has been flagged as a car that needs to be taken to a 'test only' center.

The SF Bay Area has recently adopted the more stringent 'enhanced' or Smog Check II tests. Instead of the old two speed idle test, cars are now thrown onto a dyno (except for cars where AWD or traction control cannot be disabled). Fun.

I get the impression that the smog techs are supposed to do a stricter visual inspection as part of the enhanced tests.

Has anyone ever been required to put their brick through a test-only center? Is anything done differently (other than that repairs are not allowed)?

Anyone in the SF Bay Area willing to donate a few minutes of dyno time?

P.S. Anyone looking for carfax reports should wander through abc7news.com, go to the '7 On Your Side' bit, and click through for the free (but still as worthless as ever) carfax report. Funny how Carfax has yet to show a title issued for either of my two most recent cars. The sedan was titled over two years ago, and my (now departed) wagon was titled earlier this year.
