B18-20 clutch work in a b16 engine 445? 444-544 1959

Hello fellow tractor lovers.

I have a B16 engine car and would like to put a new clutch in it. It came with a 8 inch borg andd beck clutch with the early type three prong preasure plate and and throwout bearing. Finding a rebuilder for the clutch is expensive and might not be the best solution.

I put a later 8 1/2 inch clutch on it and the clutch preasure plate bolt in the same six holes on the preasure plate. I will try to use a later Borg and beck type preasure plate to fit the 8 1/2 disk.

The only thing I need to do is to cut down the stepped surface of the flywheel so the surface will be flat and can take the wider 8 1/2 disk. Has any one done this conversion? Also I need a Borg and beck throughout bearing for volvo's 1967 later. They are different than the ones used on the earlier borg and beck and also different than the F and S clutches. I need your advice please and any sources for the later Borg and beck thourghout bearing would be very helpful.

Thanks so much from John "Erik" Sandlund Lynden Washington near Bellingham
