Compare your 960? 900

Hey all
My 1994 960 with 122ooo miles is a bit slow.. i think.
Between the speeds of 0-50mph accelearation is ok, but from 50mph upwards, acceleration is extremely slow (i.e. absolutely no highway pulling power.) If I jump on the gas at 50mph in 3rd gear, there is no noticeable difference in acceleration (compared to giving it only 1/2 throttle.)
By the way this is with AC off, fan off.
How does your 960 compare?

P.S.I will be taking the car into a shop this weekend to get it checked out. What should I expect?
