The brief synopsis:
Car would not start, does not turn over. Jump start does not help. Push start is successful. Runs fine. When attempting to start, solenoid clicks, starter motor engages flywheel, can't turn more than ~2* or so (starter just can't turn the motor over.) Crank can be turned by hand via the crank pulley while out of gear(so nothing's siezed.)
Replaced:
starter & solenoid with dealer-supplied unit
battery
main battery cables
Cleaned grounds. Verified wiring through schematics and voltmeter checks. Bypassed ignition switch to attempt cranking - no effect. Removed all other circuits (LH system, +12V rail, main alternator cable) and fuses from system, stuck a screwdriver across the positive lug and solenoid starter spade - still no change in behavior. This makes me think that either a)the grounding of the block is poor, or b)the replacement starter is also bad. Any further suggestions are welcome, as I'm pretty much tapped out now. Thanks for all the help so far...
