will mineral spirits clean silicon spray off windshield?

posted by  someone claiming to be oops i did it again on  Wed Nov 12 07:58 CST 2003 [RELATED]

My aim was off. Now the wipers are skipping. Regular window cleaner hasn't done the best job. what now?

btw -if I "rain-x" the windshield will this happen again?
