Grainger Boost Control Valve 200

Hey, my brother has a Volvo Turbo and wants to get more out of it. I went looking online and saw a bunch of sites about using Grainger Pressure Relief valves in between the the vacuum hose going to the wastegate. It looks pretty easy, but have any of you tried this on a 240 Turbo? Mid 80's car I think... How did the engine hold up to it. We plan on only increasing the the turbo a few psi...
