my volvo wont start help me please please please 200 1985

hi

please help me i've got a 1985 volvo 240 DL, and i was jumping it and accidentally put positive from the running car to negative and negative to positive, than tried starting it before i realized it. than i hurried and switched the jumper cables to their correct positions and now it wont start at all. first i tried an overnight charge on my battery, but it still didnt work, i checked and it's definitely not getting spark. checked all the fuses. they all seem fine, what could it be? could some sort of relay got zapped or something? could it have wrecked the coil?? - please help me i need my car to get to school pleeeeeease
