240 just died....mid acceleration..lost power...

Driving home from the supermarket -- gased up and ready to go. Got onto the freeway..started to accelerate and halfway through it just gave up. I am thinking it is the fuel pump? The car turns over fine..just does not catch?

Just got it back from the shop on Tuesday for a New timing belt.

Any ideas?
