intermitten rough idle 900 1992

I experienced an intermittent idle problem when the car is hot and comes to a complete stop. The RPMs start jumping between 200 and 1500, the car would stall if the break and gas peddle were not balanced. After it did stall, it was difficult to re-start. This problem lasted about .5 hr and has not occurred since. By the way, the fuel pumps and fuel relay were replaced a few days prior to this incident. Would appreciate any help, the car has 120,000 miles.
