Front Strut and Bearing Replacement Questions 200 1981

I'm getting close to replacing the front struts and upper strut bearings on my 1981 242. Any and all advice would be appreciated. I have some specific questions though:

1. What brand spring compressors are excellent for 240 front springs? Where's a good place to buy them? I don't want any junk that might snap under the stress.

2. I just want a good ride, not really stiff. Stock feel is good for me. Will Boge strut inserts do the trick? Where is the best place to buy these?

3. What are the recommendations for brand of upper strut bearings?

4. How long does an effecient mechanic take to do this job? If I multiply by five, that's about how long it'll take me the first time.
