So, my dad appears to now be the owner of a 1984 Volvo 240. I have not seen the car myself, but he says the passenger side window crank is damaged. Now, my assumption is that this car has hand crank windows, although newer models were equipped with power window. From this, can I assume it is possible to port over the window motor and regulator without much effort? I'm thinking that, at the very most, I'd have to outright swap doors with those of a newer model if space does not permit. Am I correct in assuming the only major work would be in installing the (a)motor, (b) regulator, (c) wiring it up to the battery and fuse box, and (d) wiring up the switches.
If power windows were an option on this model year, I was thinking I might just be able to take the wiring straight from one car to the next, with relatively little effort. Any comments on this are appreciated.
Cheers,
Andrew
