Someone is giving away a 1985 244 DL non-turbo, B230F, 168k miles, power steering, AW 70 w/overdrive, minor dings and trim missing, and clear title. The catch is: she drove it despite the oil light being on until the car died on the expressway. She thinks she heard a knock. What are the possible problems with the engine? Ironically enough, I'm taking an engine repair class at a junior college this coming January where we get to/have to work on our own cars. I'll try to contact the instructor as to the feasibility of repairing the car. What do you think is/could be wrong with the engine and how much would the parts cost to replace? Of course, I will use good quality parts. Thanks in advance!
