Hey guys,
I've worked at trying to figure out why my Dad's 760 Turbo won't run but to no avail. If I can find an independant that I can talk to and describe the problem maybe he can point me in the right direction or atleast give me an idea how bad its going to kill the old wallet.
My Dad said he cranked the car up the other morning and let it sit and idle for 5 minutes or so. When he was ready to leave he got in the car, pulled it into drive and started to depress the gas pedal. At which point the car died and has refused to start ever since.
I checked for spark at the plugs and its there. I also checked fuel pump operation and its fine. I'm getting fuel to the chambers as the Spark plugs were wet when I pulled them to check thier resistance. I also pulled the upper timing belt cover and the belt is fine. I also span the motor to verify that the camshaft is turning with the Crankshaft.
I dried the plugs and tried to start it. it tried to start but it never would pick up and run. It finally gave up all together and the plugs are gas soaked again. Is it possible that the injectors are spraying entirely to much fuel and flooding the motor?
Any help or contacts would be appreciated.
