Is this my right idle speed ? / Put in Tach 200 1982

Re:'82 244 DL "mpg" 4-cyl gas 4spd+OD 158K miles. Yesterday put in used tach from dashpod from a Turbo 240(unknown year)Tach works but shows idle at average 1K rpm. When car is off the needle is slightly above zero.How accurate are these old tachs ? Is this my right idle speed ?
