My daughter was driving the Silver Bullet in the rain and sprung a major tranny fluid leak from our driveway to her "the car won't go" stopping point about 3/4 mile away. So I crawl under her a find both the tranny cooler lines had been cut in the same place (where one of those spacer blocks used to be, I'll bet)and repaired with 4 inch sections of rubber fuel line hose clamped into place. I don't know when this repair happened - I have had the car for a few years.

Assuming I still have a usable transmission (I know), I have bought two new lines from the dealer. When I replace the lines, do I need to seal the connector threads with anything? Is there anything special I should other than fill it with fluid and test it out?
