Charge air over-pressure switch failure 700

I thought this was a pretty obscure item to fail. The charge air over-pressure switch (CAOPS!) failed in the open circuit position on my '87 745. This switch is located above the brake pedal and is attached to the same bracket as the EZ117K ECU. It provides a ground circuit from the LH ECU to the fuel pump relay coil circuit, and interupts this circuit in case of overboost. Symptoms: no start with no fuel pressure!! I don't know why it failed, its never seen more than 7 psi. I'll get a replacement later this week. I wired around it so I can still drive. I Thought someone might find this useful.
