B20 Penta Cooling system question 120-130

Hello,

Is there anyone on the board who knows B20 Penta engines ?
A friend of mine has ruined two B20 engines in his boat, in my opinion they have overheated badly.
Normally a Penta B20 only has one cam driven salt water pump to provide the cooling.
His engines used this salt water pump but also the normal B20 car water pump.
I fear that the two pumps are counteracting each other causing very poor water flow.

Does anyone know if there existed B20 penta engines with 2 water pumps ?
