Shuddrer and shake 200 1982

This is the strangest problem I've ever had.
The car (82 Turbo) shudders and vibrates whenever accelerating or slowing.
Here is the wierd stuff. Acceleration produces a slight shudder, easy to avoid witha gentle take off, However slowing is much worse, most noticeable from 20 to 5 mph. NOT braking, does this when not braking (or braking also) with clutch DISengaged.
Revving engine has no effect.
The problem has come on slowly over the past couple months, so I suspect wear not a failure of something.
I found the bushings in the torque arms shot, replaced all four, no change! Really thought this was it.
Pushed and shoved driveshaft, U joints OK.
Center bearing seems OK.
Trans (manual) mount bushing is not broken.
Thinking it could be motor mount, oil lines to Turbo cooler seem close to it, but how could this effect if problem exists when rolling out of gear? Also do not see symptons as described in archives for mounts.
Checked wheel lugs and front and rear suspension, Ball joints and tie rods OK.
Seems to be some play at bushing where lower A arm mounts to body, but seem to remember this is normal, oe is it?. I get about 1/16 to 1/8 inch fore aft play here
Baffled......Need ideas .
