Vexing Voltmeter 200 1985

I bought an aftermarket ammeter/voltmeter but the instructions suck (only talk about domestic cars). Could someone tell me how to set up the wiring? The three diagrams are: 1. magnetic starter switch (Ford/Chrysler) with leads to the starter solenoid; 2. voltage regulator/horn relay circuit (GM/Chrysler); and 3. "most" starter solenoid circuits (GM/AMC). TIA!
