Front tires tight turns? 200 1988

My 88 245 has an odd skip to the front wheels when I turn in a parking or tight lane situation. It seems the turn radius is to tight for the tires and they slid or are forced to make the turn. I'm not at full lock either left or right sometimes I'm no where near full lock. My tire size are the recomended and are in good shape. Thanks for the help.
