The right shocks for the job. 140-160 1971

Hello All,
I am prepairing to put Jon Parkers progressive springs on my '71 145 and drop it 1.25". I realize my current KYB's won't last long and would like to replace them at the sametime. Both Jon Parker and eshocks.com offer Bilsteins and Koni adjustable. What I can't figure out is the differences between the two. Could someone here fill me in on the details of the differences and which one I should use.
I am looking forward to the new suspension and with it I will drive the care hard. I don't want a total sacrifice of ride quality but I am prepaired for a stiffer ride. The occasional rally/autocross would be in the cars future also.

Thanks,
Wayne
