just did my auto trans flush!!! 200

Just got done with my auto trans flush (bypassed return line from radiator). I am so happy I did it. It the easiest maintenance I have ever done, and gave me tons of satisfaction. My 1986 240 with 47k miles had trans fluid that was so cooked, it was jet black. Ran 12 quarts of fresh Dextron III into it, an she ran red once again. My question is, is it my imagination, or can my tranny be shifting smoother and riding smoother now that I flushed the fluid? It was never low on fluid....just black. Just wondering if it is my imagination...
