Leaking from heater control valve replaced 4 months ago 900

I replaced the heater control valve on my 95 945 4 months ago with a new hose and heater control valve from FCP. Noticed in the past couple days a slow leak from the bottom of the heater control valve / hose junction. (the clamp is plenty tight) . Unfortunately because it is buried deep in there, I cant disconnect and see if the hose is punctured? the bottom metal heater piece is perforated?? Id like to remove the hose from the firewall and inspect the junction to see what the heck is going on. It is not leaking from the top plastic part of the heater hose where if there was going to be a crack id expect to see it. I donnt want to remove the entire hose because of BAD memories doing that job on the fourth of July and the tight fit under the intake runner that the other end connects to. Can this be done by disconnecting the hose at the firewall and pulling up on it?? Appears to be a decent amount of redundant hose to do this. JOHN
