Lookin for someone to teach me Volvos 700 1987

I have a fairly simple request. I live in the Fredericksburg, Virginia, area and I just purchased a 1987 Volvo 745 with 204k miles. (It's the third I've owned in the 700 series, having had an '86 740 turbo (RIP), and an '87 740 GLE I sold at 310k a couple years ago. I presently drive a '93 850 but have reverted back to the trusty old 700 series as they feel more comfortable, reliable, and tank-like.) In any matter I'm interested in learning how to work on cars - more specifically the 740, and in January I plan on signing up for community college night courses in auto repair. HOWEVER, I'd rather find a Volvo enthusiast in the area who has the time and energy to teach a younger fella some basic auto mechanics, maintenence, and repair on the Volvo 740 or like. I never really got past changing my own oil and filters, and am just looking for someone who works on their own Volvo so I can hang around the garage, help a little, and learn what exactly goes on under the hood. If anyone can be of any assistance I'd greatly appreciate it. Ideas are welcome too - it's just something I've been wanting to do for a long time and never got around to it. Thanks so much!
Yours,
Webb
