Help w/ 240 'spotters guide'? (VERY long post,sorry) 200

Hey guys-

This is a silly little time-waster project- I'm going to put together a 240/260 "spotters guide" for my buddy Ron. He became an enthusiast when a mutual friend gave him an '82 245, 350K+ w/ an M46, for Christmas a few years ago. It was a rustbucket, but lasted him a year with almost no problems. If I'd known about the Brickboard back then, it might still be alive.

Anyway, I'm writing up a timeline (pics to be included)- below is the stuff I think I know about sedans... Any corrections or further info would be great.

Thanks all,
Matt

P.S. I'm sticking to "American specs"

1975-77: 7" round headlights, flush grille, flat hood
1978-80: dual round headlights
1981-85: dual square headlights, blinkers change from orange to white lens in '81?
1986-93: "TV screen" headlights, redesigned grille, blinkers

1975-78: smallish protruding square taillights
1979-81?: flush wraparound rectangle lens, large upright backup light
1982-93: six-panel rectangle (there must have been variations...?)

1975-81?: skinny stainless trim, model "ID badge" on fender
1982-?: stainless/rubber trim, "VOLVO" lettering on fender. Bumper change to full black cover in '82?
Was it '86 that the VOLVO fender badge was changed to the black background type?

I plan on showing DL grille/wheels vs. GL, also turbo wheels... Was it '81 the DL wheels changed to large slots, black "centercaps"? I'll also be including later wheel variations.

Other questions: Wagon taillights? GT trim, years of manufacture? Bertone, ditto- also general 260 differences?

WOW, my head hurts! What a crazy idea this was! Anyway, thank you all again for any assistance.
