Resolder FPR? Is This Possible? 200 1979

I was reading a previous post regarding the maintenance you could do to the electrical system. The poster mentioned resoldering the relays, checking for frayed wires and so one. He/She also mentioned something about RESOLDERING THE FPR. Is this at all possible? I was told by a good friend and Volvo Specialist that my cars FPR was not working as good as it should and that a good working one would help out the engines power (B27F) and also help out the MPG. The car has been running fine since I was given this advice (after he installed a failed in-tank pre-pump) but more recently the car is getting harder to start and runs a bit more rough at idle. I have checked the wire, cap, rotor, plugs, wiring, etc. so I was wondering if there is anything you could do to the FPR that makes it more reliable or run better. I know you can resolder your relays to make sure there is no cracks at the solder points so I wonder if the same goes for inside the FPR. Sorry for the long post and thanks to all in advance for their time.

Sincerely,
