behind front fender drainage channels 200 1989

'89 240 DL sedan

Trying to understand where these drainage channels are... I've always read about water getting to the fusebox from leaky windsheilds or corroded metal causing openeings.

My fusebox has always been clean and dry and no electr. problems. I would like to keep it that way. My windsheld has never leaked down into there. What R&R can I do to prevent corrosion and possible drainage blockage? I have no clue where to look... please advise. Salty Canadian weather is here again.

Thanks!
