anyone replace an alternator bearing before? 200

My alternator is squeeling a bit. I used one of those mechanic stethoscope to isolate a squeeling noise.

A rebuilt alternator runs about 140 bucks at FCPGroton.com

I am thinking that the cheapest way to tackle this problem is buy a couple of new bearings, dismantle the alternator and replace. Maybe change the voltage regulator along the way.

How hard is this?
