I see that other people are having the same problem with their overdrive now that it's cold. For over a year now, my overdrive works like a champ in the summer. Now that it's cold outside my overdrive will not engage until the transmission is warm (15-20 mi). Because I travel on the highway, people are a bit pissed off at me because I'm afraid to drive in 4th gear over 3500RPM (60 mph). But once the trans. if warmed up, the overdrive works flawlessly.
I changed the overdrive relay last year - no effect. I changed the transmission fluid recently - no effect.
Again, the overdrive works perfectly when it's warm, but SOMETHING needs to warm up before engaging. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
