kickdown cable...?? 200 1984

One of the cables that attaches to the throttle assembly in my 1984 240DL seems to have worn out. The cable I need to replace extends from the throttle assembly downward to the transmission... called the kickdown cable... right??? I read everything I was able to track down about the replacement procedure and I am all psyched up about spending a couple hours getting really dirty.

Any tips or advice on the replacement of the cable in question would reeeeally be appreciated!!!!!
