Front end damage--now what? 200 1983

Well, first sleet of the year, and the nice 1983 GL we got for my son to drive mysteriously found the rear end of a truck ahead of it on an icy off-ramp. No one hurt, but the truck's bumper lined up nicely with the Volvo's headlights, plastic grill, etc. The hood won't open in its normal way, so I've asked the shop to see if they can open it to inspect for other damage. The vertical brace immediately behind the grill, where the horns are mounted, is visibly pushed in. Likewise, on the driver's side, the horizontal metal bar that runs behind and above the bumper is bent. No evidence of loss of coolant--the car runs normally, the heater works; but I heard (for a little bit) an awful sound that made me fear the radiator fan was damaged (and, if so, I have to assume it has been eating up things inside the inaccessible engine compartment, where I just spend $800 fixing the front seals, rear main seal, replacing the water pump, and replacing the timing belt).

Alignment seems to be okay; paint seems to be intact; body doesn't appear bent. What is the best approach to fixing? Find parts in the junk yard and simply rebuild the front stuff myself, or (given my inexperience and lack of tools) is this one for the body shop?

Oh, one more thing. Notwithstanding all the seal work just done, even before the unfortunate collision we still had two minor oil leaks. Based on where the stain is on the floor, the two small leaks are both towards the front of the engine; they are separated by about 5" front to back, and about 5" left to right. Work that had been recommended but which I hadn't authorized last time in connection with possile leaks was something involving the crankcase. Is this location for two leaks compatible with something involving the crankcase, and if so, is this something a moderate do-it-yourselfer could try?
