So, I have replaced the wiring on both sides of the tailgate on my 1980 245 DL. I have a couple of problems:

For the rear wiper, where do the wires hook up to? There are 4 different terminals on the motor it self, but only 2 wires for the motor (if I remember correctly).

How can I check the rear window defroster for faults? It doesn't currently work (but the switch lights up now that I replaced the bulb inside.).

I would probably end up asking about the power lock as well, but some foolish mechanic removed my power lock relays (before the car was mine), so that's the end of that.

Keep in mind that everything in this tailgate sat inactive for at least 14 years. That's how long it's been since the family got the car, and the tailgate wiring was bad then. I just recently replaced them, and would like to get everything working again.

I've checked and double checked the ground, and it seems to be okay.
