Auto-to-stick conversion 200 1992

Dear brick persons--

The rear main seal is leaking more. My AW70 has 204k on it--it works fine, but not forever and I'd rather have a stick anyway. Now is the time to swap it out.

I thought I had anticipated all the problems. If I couldn't find better components, my 1980 with 424k and body issues would become an organ donor. Except...

Hey--the 1992 has a crank sensor. That means the flywheel from my 1980 won't work, right? (Wouldn't it have been clever if they'd designed the sensor so it could read the gear teeth?)

A Volvo shop owner told me that the crank sensor came in mid-1989. That means I need a flywheel from a mid-1989 or later stick-shift car. Does anyone have one they want to sell? If so please email me at pegues2@aol.com .

I would be happy with either an M46 or M47. The automatic already has an OD elec circuit--does it have enough juice to power the OD on a stick shift?

And one final question: is the flywheel the same for both an M46 and M47?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Doug Harvey
