Got my temperature thermostat.
The instructions that cam with the thermostat calls for draining the coolant first.
Since the thermostat is on top, high, it seems like it could be replaced without having to completely drain all coolant. Only minimal loss of coolant should result?
First time doing this.
1) Shall I drain the coolant first?
2) Trivial question : Since my engine was operating at somewhat wrong temperature due to faulty thermostat, could recplacement with new thermostat result in somewhat improved gas mileage?
Thanks for your input.
