Hello I have got a 740 GLE estate with the B230K engine carb version and I started it up and it was idleing really low and trying to stall, so I revved it up to stop it. I pulled away and after a few minutes I stopped at traffic lights and the rev counter dropped to zero and the engine stalled, I restarted it and it stalled again but started up no problem on both occasions and then idled at 800 RPM. I took it to the garage and they altered the mixture, and said it was running rich. I will start it up from cold tomorrow and see what it does as maybee the adjustment has fixed the stalling. It used to have a high idle at about 1500 RPM but now it has got a low idle and stalled as above, but when warmed up idles correctly at 800 RPM. Any suggestions? It has a pierburg 2B5 carburettor
When slowing down and coming off the accelarator the car occasionly judders and the rev counter eventually comes down from what it was. In other words there is a delay in coming off the accelarator and the RPM'S decreasing. It does not feel as smooth as it should.
Many thanks James
