Many people are telling me that the Arctic Alpins that I bought at Costco are a pretty good snow tire, but mine have been sub-par. Searching past posts, one very astute brickboarder suggested I check the directional arrow on the tires to make sure they are all going in the right direction. Guess what, two of them (one on the front and one on the kitty corner back) are going in different directions from the other two! Two of the tires were going backwards and probably supplied no grip whatsoever! Do all snows have arrows on them indicating the correct rotation? Do I presume that the arrow of the tire should turn pointing forward when the car is going forward? Can it be that the 19 year old kid (remembering that all 19 year olds possess infinite wisdom) got it wrong? I've had the tires on a month now - do you think I'm justified in demanding two new tires for the ones that were going backwards vs. just having the old ones turned around? Thanks, Fred
