correct adjustment of kickdown & accerator cables 900 1993

I'm not sure how to adjust the kickdown cable and accelerator cable sothat the automatic transmission will shift right. I understand that loosening the kickdown will cause the trans to shift sooner, tighter will delay the shift points. The tranny in my 93 945 turbo has a problem shifting into overdrive at too high aspeed and falls out of overdrive at about 48 mph or at anyting but a feather light touch on the gas pedal. This seems to get worse after an extended,(45 min) run at hughway speeds or afer the same time in heavy traffic. Any ideas? I could use a little help. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks listers...Bob in Miami
