melted tail light bulb socket - where's the short? 200

Hi all-

So, noticed last night that my running lights are out. The "bulb out" indicator never flashed. Pulled the tail light cover to change the bulb and noticed that the socket is melted....

Any tips on a likely place to start looking for the problem?
