I've posted a lot of pleas for help over the last few weeks, and my thanks to those who helped may have been buried in the length of the threads, so here it is again: Thanks to all who helped me assess the charges by a shop on some repairs; who gave me the courage to try to do some work myself and provided insight on diagnosing related problems with the PCV and ignition systems; and who walked me through the pain of finding affordable parts to repair the front end of our car. I've probably saved $900 over the last 3 weeks as a result, and have regained my confidence that I CAN do it myself (within reason).
