Wet floor carpet on driver's side 700 1986

Hi all,

I noticed a few days ago, while vacuuming out my 740 Turbo, that the floor carpet on the driver's side was wet. There are no obvious leaks, and only the carpet on the floor is wet; the sides are dry. I've checked and there is no moisture on any other areas of the floor carpet (passenger side, rear passenger area).

Any clues as to what may be leaking and where it may be coming from?
